This weekend The Bothered Owl attended the Misty Moon Market. This is the second time we had been to this market, and we had a successful two days. The market is held in The Honor Oak pub, which is handy for thirsty stall holders! Scott and his cousin Adrienne really liked the alcoholic ginger beer.
The other stalls there sold cakes, jewellery, chocolate, baby items, glass, pottery, sewn items, sock monkeys, and greeting cards. And of course we were selling fabulous Lego jewellery and stunning bags, bibs, and brooches!
When it was quiet we had great chats with the other stall holders. We chatted about our crafts, other markets and generally got to know them. We ate some lovely homemade chocolate from Lola who also does classes on how to make chocolate.
There was also cake from Ann-Marie who is there every month.
On Saturday, I made three Lego bracelets. And sold all three of them that day. Today, I made three more. And didn’t sell one! But hey, the Lego head bracelets are pretty awesome, even if I do say so myself. The other big winner of the weekend were the bibs, lots of people looked at them and we sold three of them. It is really uplifting to know that people like what we are doing.
There was lots of great feedback from people at the stall. People love the Lego and we got an excellent idea for some cufflinks which would be great for guys and will have some for the market at the Museum of London. We also got some lovely compliments on the bags and people really like the patchwork on them. We sold one of the reversible tote bags.
The gift boxes we bought look fantastic. They really lift the products and make them stand out. The boxes are light, well made and we’re really pleased with them. They’re from the Tiny Box Company. I can’t recommend them enough!
